Perched atop sheer cliffs, these monasteries, built in the 14th century, provide breathtaking views of the Thessaly plains. Meteora is a testament to both nature’s grandeur and human ingenuity.

INDICATIVE ITINERARY

• Pick up and drop off service from your hotel in Thessaloniki
• Short stop at Venetikos River and Bridge
• Short stop for Coffee break
• Arrival time at Meteora: 12:30 (approx.)
• See all monasteries from the View Points (The Monastery of Great Meteoron, The Monastery of Varlaam, The Monastery of Rousanou, The Monastery of St. Stephen, The Monastery of Holy Trinity, The Monastery of St. Nikolaos)
• Enter inside 1-2 monasteries (optionally)
  (We recommend The Monastery of St. Stephen because you can enter without using steps, you need only pass a bridge)

LUNCH
Lunch time: 14:30 (approx). We will have lunch in a traditional village, not a tourist place. You can pre-order what you would like to eat and they will cook for us. Unique food experience!

AFTER LUNCH PLAN (OPTIONALLY ONE OF THE FOLLOWING LOCATIONS)

• Visit Trikala City and the Central Bridge of Litheos River (optionally)
• Visit Larissa City and the Square of Jewish Martyrs of Larissa (optionally, for travelers from Israel)
• Visit Litochoro Village on Mount Olympus (optionally)

Additional Information

• Participants under the age of 12 must have a parent or guardian.
• Wear closed toed shoes.
• There are many beautiful sights. You are encouraged to bring a camera along.
• Weather will not affect the operation of the tours.
• However if canceled due to unfavorable weather conditions, you will be given the option of an alternative date or full refund
• The monasteries have a strict dress code men must wear trousers and long sleeves, women must wear a long skirt.
• If you do turn up in shorts, trousers and skirts will be provided.
• Departure point: Pick up from your hotel in Thessaloniki
• Departure time: 9:00 am
• Duration: 10 hours (approx.)
• Return details: Returns to original Pick up point
