This tour will take you to the footsteps of Mount Olympus. Also known as the “Home of Gods”. Dion is an area at the foot of Mount Olympus. Nowdays it is known all over the world because archaelogists discovered a very important Macadonian city. The Ancient kings of Macedonia had chosen Dion as their summer resort. There the created, centuries ago, a settlement, in the ruins of which the parts of the Ancient Macedonian civilization are evident. Archaeologists discovered an admirable civilization. The findings of graves foun in Dion area are also remarkable. Most royal tombs give away the existence of an eminent and thriving civilization. Today we can admire the ruins of thet civilization in the Archaelogical Site of Dion and the Archaeological Museum of Dion.

Visit Litohoro Village
Later we continue to Litohoro which is a smal modern town. It combines the mountain air with the sea breeze and visitors can walk between the traditional houses of Macedonian architecture, the old wooden courtyyard doors and the gabled roofs.

Visit Enipeas Gorge and Waterfalls
After the lunch break we will have the opportunity to walk around the village and through the Enipea Valley. Olympus, the highest Greek mountain, the residence of the twelve Ancient Gods, is declared a Noational Park. It is internationally known as for its important ecological characteristics and incombarable natural beauty as well as for its strong relationship with Ancient Greek mythology. The importance of the National Park has been recognized not only in Greece and Europe, but all over the world. Enipeas Waterfalls: With a beautiful plunge pool you can swim in.

Visit Orlias Gorge and Waterfalls
The Orlias Gorge start from the town of Dion, heading out from the tiny chapel of Agios Konstantinos (with its picnic tables and benches and little water source). A short forest walk takes you to the gorge where you begin a descent of around 10 waterfalls (the tallest some 28m), freefalling into plunge pools from the smaller ones and slipping down natural water slides (including a 9m near-vertical drop and 16m horizontal slide).

You’ll be expecting the adrenaline rush, but you’ll also be filled with the feeling of peace and tranquility amongst all the incredible greenery and swimming in refreshing mountain water.
