Board your own rafting boat and float over the stream for a fun journey through the watercourse. (Two-Seater Rafting Boat with experienced guide)

You can try to learn the sport of kayaking as a beginner. Experienced guides will accompany you either in the two-seater monoraft or next to you in their kayak, always pointing you in the right direction to guide you in a particularly interesting river descent, enjoying the flow of the river to a greater extent than the rafting boat

Recommended: Swimsuit, sunscreen.

Guides will be equipped with cameras and pictures will be given at the end.

Participants are equipped with a neoprene diving suit (wetsuit), boots, life jacket and helmet. Guides will bring a camera and take pictures (a copy will be given to you at the end)

• Full description
  • Drive to the rafting base in Klidonia, on the main road from Aristi village to Papingo village. There the rafting team will welcome at the scheduled time and provide you with the necessary safety equipment. When ready, a minibus will transfer you to the starting location, the bridge of Aristi-Papigo.
  • A safety briefing will follow, some river practice and off you go! During the descent, the group will stop for an optional refreshing dive in Voidomati’s crystal clear waters. On the final stage of the trip, the boat groups paddle under Klidonia’s stone bridge artificial waterfalls. The descent finishes shortly after Klidonia’s bridge just outside the rafting base.
  • One thing is certain; by the time you reach the end, at approximately 1:30 PM, you’ll wish you could start all over again!

  • The total duration is 2 hours including preparation and transfer
  • You will spend approximately 1.5 hours in the boat
  • The level of difficulty is low
  • This activity is suitable for people aged over 8 years old with basic swimming capability

Unfortunately, it is not suitable for people with mobility limitations
The meeting point is reachable by car within 30-50 minutes from Ioannina and the West Zagorohoria Villages

Additional info

• Participants are provided with a diving outfit (wetsuit), booties, life jacket and helmet.
• All you need to bring is your bathing suit or a second underwear (so as to change, as it is possible to get wet during the rafting).
• We recommend you bring sunscreen oil.
• Perhaps you could wear your hat under the helmet if it fits.
• For more protection from the sun, you can wear some (sunscreen) t-shirt.
• If you want to wear glasses (sunglasses or other) during the rafting, we recommend the special tie with rubber band (in order be more confident that you will not lose them).
• The guides will carry a photographic camera and take pictures (a copy will be given to you at the end)
